How do you beat writer's block? Do you go for a jog? Read a book? Go to a movie? Come on, share your secret--we're dying to know!
If I'm stuck on an idea I go for a walk. I live next door to a beautiful park with a lake in the middle. This is where I walk and while I walk I try to think about my writing project and how I can make it better.
Sometimes the best cure for writers block is writing. I take my notebook and a book with writing prompts outside and find a place to sit in the park or at the coffee shop and write. Writing about something else can help me get unstuck. It gets the words flowing again and eventually I feel ready and excited to return to my project.

We have some of the same tricks to beat it. Great minds, right?
It's amazing how much just sitting down and writing can help with writer's block. I feel like I get more blocked up the longer I spend not writing.
I agree with both of these, esp the writing part! I need to walk more though. I have GOT to write more and walk more!!
I totally agree with this advice! Getting into a new place and writing about something new gives my brain a break--but it's not completely out of the writing zone.
Good strategies, esp the walk.
yeah...I just have to write...if the keyboard's not helping a notebook does. :) good luck to all who suffer!
yes! Walks work for me as well. It's good to get the blood flowing and the creative juices churning.
Walks definitely do it for me!
I try to forget about writing altogether. Do some laundry, the dishes, go for a walk. Anything that helps me stop stressing out.
