R- Ramona

Ramona Forever  R- Ramona Quimby. I loved, loved, loved the Ramona books when I was a kid. Even though I was the big sister I could totally relate to some of the things that happen to Ramona throughout the books.  I would read some of the crazy things that happened to her, like cracking an egg on her forehead and I would actually be surprised that I hadn't done something like that. I could also totally relate to Ramona's imagination.

Do embarrassing and funny things happen to you that make you think of Ramona or other book characters?

Yes indeed. Ramona is one of the best kidlit characters of all time.

Yeah, Ramona was awesome. Beverly Cleary was such a fantastic writer.

What I love most about Ramona is how she sticks around. Kids today relate to her just as much as kids of yesterday.

I love Ramona! I recently reread several of the books--and they're just as wonderful today as they were when I was a kid. :)

I also love Ramona. Loved the scene where she took one bite out of every apple in a barrel. Yes. I find myself making scenes when I enter a room, usually a meeting, where I'm running late!

When I was five or six I squeezed out a whole tube of toothpaste in the sink--it seemed like so much fun when Ramona did it. Luckily, it was NOT a very full tube. My parents were not happy and I had to pay to replace the tube (a lot of money when you're five!) That was when I learned to consider fictional consequences before emulating fictional actions.
