RTW- Best book of May
Road Trip Wednesday is a ‘Blog Carnival,’ where YA Highway's contributors post a weekly writing- or reading-related question that begs to be answered. In the comments, you can hop from destination to destination and get everybody's unique take on the topic.
What was the best book you read in May?
This is an easy answer. INSURGENT by Veronica Roth. The sequel to DIVERGENT. Loved this exciting book and of course now I can't wait until the next book comes out.

I had high expectations for INSURGENT, and Veronica did not disappoint. In fact, I think she went beyond. That first line, for pity's sake! If I could come up with first lines like that, lines that grab you and say "you can't go back now--you're MINE!" I wouldn't still be looking for an agent! :D
My expectations were really high for INSURGENT, and while I really enjoyed it, I didn't love it as much as DIVERGENT. I'm really excited to see where she takes Tris's story in Book 3, though! :)
Can't wait to read this one! I loved Divergent. :)
I want to read this book so bad! It looks so awesome! :)

I wasn't as impressed by this as I wanted to be, but dang she made a good cliffhanger, right?? I will have to pick up book three when it comes out now... :)
I LOVED this one. Veronica does such a great job with cliff hangers and one liners. Colin's right - that first line is on fire!
Sa-heriously, EVERYONE loves this book! Divergent is calling for me from the top of the stack in the dining room, but I've got to finish The Handmaid's Tale for book club next week and a bunch of other books that are due back at the library first. Sounds like these books are hard to put down....
It was great, and I'm curious to see what will happen next.
